I was very lucky to be invited to attend the Daydream Nation alternative catwalk show for London fashion week. I was super excited cause the invite stated that it was a unique fashion-theatre storytelling so i assumed it's not just any ordinary fashion show.

The show was called "Good night Deer" . It was about a hunter being cursed by a deer he killed and transformed into a deer and end up being hunted in return.
I luv the fact that before the show even started, there were actors hired dressing up in deers and scary hunters outfits to give u a slight hint what's the show gonna be about.

(Ignore this paragraph if you can't be bother)
Well, before i go into details about the show...there's something which i wanna vent. Me and wee met a malaysian reporter who called herself a "fashion stylist" from China Press.Usually i am really friendly if i get to meet a malaysian in london but she really disgusted me. First, the way she dress is unbelievable tacky and ugly. Second she gave me a feeling she know nothing about arts nor fashion + i have no idea what she is talking about. How can you call yourself a fashion stylist if you can't even make an effort to dress up to a fashion show?? I was angry cause why someone like her represent malaysia...If she writes a fashion column, deary me...I can't imagine the outcome of it.....

Anyway, back to the show. It was Brilliant and the clothes + accessories are actually closely linked to every part of the story and did give a dream like feel . I luv the mix of rich deep colours and shapes were simple but interesting. Not to forget to mention the band (naked with horses) performing on the night was extremely talented and we luved the music. I actually felt sorry for the band members cause they were dresses in strange furry animal hats and had theatrical make up on them.

Overall, I find both Jing Wong and Kay extremely talented cause they are able to translate their creativity and day dreams into such gorgeous and desirable clothes and present them with such entertaining and clever theatrical performance.

I am really happy i found a trench coat which actually looks good on me. I tried on zillion different type of trench and i always look fat in them. I always wanted a burberry blue label trench...They are quite pricey but prob worth investing in. I got mine from Zara and it's quite similiar to the burberry's trench.

Trench coat is useful for someone who is as lazy as me . There's nothing quite as stylish and versatile in the ever changing spring weather as a reliable trench coat. You can just look amazing in less than 5 min with a nice mini dress ,trench and stilettos. I wore dresses more than tops + jeans cause it's just so easy to slip in and i just need a nice belt to match with it. I luv the fact that trench are always rain proof , wind resistant , covers your arms and legs and complements nearly any outfit.

Burberry's Trench

i am sure you guys heard of the movie "Lust" directed by Ang Lee.Um...The Story is a little predictable but it was still a very beautiful film. To be honest, i only downloaded it cause my friends told me Tony Leung looks good in it and Tang Wei enjoy violent sex and luv Tony's inhuman sadistic character. Actually, that's not the point. I wanted to see Qipaos paried with cloche hats , trench coats ,red lipstick and old hollywood hairstyles.I think i've fallen in love with the 1840's eastern and western blended styles after watching the movie. Not many chinese girls can pull off with Qi Pao unless you have a amazing body. I am thinking of getting one tailored made in China cause it's elegant without being overly sexy...Oh..and makes you look mysterious too =P

Restaurant Recommendation

Malaysian - Bugis Street In Gloucester Hotel

I haven't had malaysian food for ages.I sometimes craved for Singapore Chicken Rice especially mummy is in Australia now. If Jul Jul haven't stayed in Gloucester Hotel, I don't think i would ever found this restaurant. The food is quite nice compared to the malaysian restaurants in China town But nyonya and SatAy house is still way better. I only tried the laksa and Hainanese Chicken rice and they are both quite authentic and yummy.
I am going to Kiraku tonight. Will blog about it later when i am back? Apparently that's one of the most authentic Japanese restaurant in London and only Japanese dine there. I can't wait* I am dying for nice food and yummy sushi and sashimi*

Guess who i bumped into last week?
Amy Winehouse

I was shocked that she shops in carnaby street too. I was browsing around in a vintage shop then suddenly people start rushing in . I kinda recognise her because of her big hair and turban but she is extremely Short and petite. She isn't as ugly as she is on the magazine actually. I kinda felt sorry for her cause she couldn't even shop in peace. Everyone wanted to take a photo with her but shame the shop assistant wouldn't let us. So i decided to wait outside to capture a picture of her instead. Because of AMy winehouse, I made friends with this really sweet taiwanese girl and we were actually shopping together even though we only got to know each other on the spot???

*Thursday*21/2/2008*Selfridges*window display*Naked model Jen*Painter Jacques le Trompet*

Have you seen Real Naked model display in the window of a shopping mall?Bet you haven't. Agent Provocateur had Glamour model Jen Posing Nude at Selfridges today for artist Jacques Le Trompet to paint her in order to promote their new fragrance -stripped. Thank god Lily Allen was dropped from AP new campaign . If she is the one posing nude , i might actually skip dinner.I know she lost weight recently bla bla bla but i really dislike her.Felt so disgusted last year when i heard she was gonna be in Agent Provocateur new campaign.

Did everyone had a great Valentine? Mine was good cause i Went out dinner on wednesday and then spend the whole thursday cooking for him.I was gonna do this post yesterday but then i was too busy so i totally forgotten about it....Gomen ne*
I realise that both of us put so much effort on our first valentine together .I remember our first valentine,he planed it secretly and brought me up to the London eye , cruise on the river thames and then romantic dinner after. Second and third year we spend it on a Yatch Hotel which was lovely. Then it was just dinner and present.Does it mean that no more valentines celebration if we got married?????

Anyway,Here are 2 outfits From Morgan which i thought would be nice to wear on a date.what do you think?

As for my make up, i decided to go for a natural/sweet look so i used metallic blue liner instead of black.
One thing which i wanna vent is i hated asian girls with light blue eyeshadow. It really scares me especially the person put a big patch of light blue eyeshadow on their small eyes. I think I scare most ppl when i first used make up cause i had light blue eyeshadow too!*sob*

(Note: I totally recommend the Paul & Joe lilac colour face powder cause it evens out my skin colour and brighton up my face)

And this is what i used!

Here's 2 vids from Voce Magazine that i wanna share which i thought is quite useful =)

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR EVERYONE

What a lonely CNY.(haha...Not really) Well, even though me and my older brother doesn't get to celebrate with our parents in melbourne, we have our own lil party at my house on Chinese new year eve. Me and Nina were the cook on the night. I don't think i ever cooked this much in my life. Now i understand why my mum hate big celebrations . We basiclly spend the whole day grocery shopping, preparing the food and cooking. Well, thank god the food turn out yummy and we were very proud with ourselves.

There were Tomyum soup, Apple Pie, Sweet potato with sago dessert, Chilli Crab, Roast Chicken,Korean seafood pancake, japanese salad,Beef noodles on hotplate, Fish and various fruits dipped with yogurt for dessert.

I had another big meal with james family the next day too. I think i gained at least 5 kg in the last few days. I really appreciate that my friends invited me to their family dinner on cny cause my parents are away.I am truely grateful....since i can't make it to all.....can i save it for next time?kekeke
